Please, to those larger folks out there, do not take offense to this. I was a fat person too, and this also applied to me, which is why I’m writting about it. :)

If you have 30+ pounds to lose, and especially those with 70+ pounds to lose, then you may be sufering from a condtion where you really don’t feel that fat. It’s that image you see in your mind’s eye that projects your figure to the back of your head, and yes, it shows a slightly plump person, but it doesn’t show what you see when someone takes your picture, does it?

So, what’s the deal? Why do we see ourselves in better shape than we actually are?

Perhaps it’s denial, or perhaps it’s the fact that we really don’t believe we look like that. Hey, we don’t see ourselves every moment of every day. Only others do. When we take pictures of ourselves we try to contort, suck-in and shift everything into the best possible place, then we click the button.

We don’t have that option in our daily lives. What we see in pictures is really what we present to the world. I suppose that’s why my old photo of me in shorts always worked as a good weight loss motivator. LOL
