Weight control is a difficult task, so don’t make it any harder by stepping on your scale every day or two. This will only slow down your progress and depress you.

It’s completely normal for your weight to fluctuate. Depending on the time of day and your body’s water retention level, your body can be up to 8 pounds heavier! That’s scary, especially if you’re a dieter that’s worked so hard and tends to be crushed by those little numbers on that little square demon you’re standing on.

What is it that makes larger people think that they can dress like a tiny person? I’m not trying to discriminate here - hell, I’m a large person, and I know what I can wear and what I can’t wear on this big butt frame of mine.

The problem is there isn’t much stylish clothing available for larger people. The more style-insistent large folks opt to squeeze their big bodies in much smaller, but stylish, clothes. Unfortunately, this “stuffing” does nothing but highlight the problem and create some nasty bulges.

Dieting sucks, really, it sucks. lol

I’ve learned a couple of tips lately that I’ve been putting to use. It’s too early to tell what, or if, these tips will pan out. But I have seen some friends that had some success at it, and best of all, these tips are painless (actually pleasurable to many) to implement.

What is it? Well, here they are:

1) Drink cold water. What? Yes, drinking ample amounts of cold (ice) water each day has been said to boost the metabolism and help the fat burning process. Another side affect of drinking plenty of cold water is that it lessens the hunger pains and tends to make you eat less.

Eating healthy in today’s world of fast food certainly isn’t easy to accomplish, especially on a continual basis. We’re all busy people. It’s just too easy to go out and grab dinner somewhere and not have to deal with all the cleaning of pots, pans and dishes.

Does this mean we should just throw up our hands in diet defeat and just stuff our faces until our little ol’ strained hearts are content? Well, I certainly don’t think so!

There are some things that even us busy people can do if we are serious about maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle.

Here’s something to think about… Many of us that are overweight (according to the scale) don’t think we look over weight. It’s actually quite puzzling.

Think about it -

Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and found yourself totally amazed at how (fat) you look?

Have you ever looked at some huge jeans and figured they’d be loose on you but instead they were tight, or didn’t fit at all?

Have you ever taken a picture with someone you were sure was bigger than you, then view the picture to find the opposite?
